The Family Stone
by Jill Ellis The Family Stone is a movie that is centered around Christmas time. The Stone family always gathers around the parents Sybil and Kelly’s house for Christmas. The thing about this Christmas, is that the oldest son Everette brings home his new girl friend Meredith that no one seems to like at all. They all give her a bad time except Ben the second oldest son. The whole family tortured Meredith so much that she checked into a hotel near by and called her sister Julie. When  Julie arrives at the house the family likes her better and every thing goes from bad to worse for Meredith. The family thinks Ben is going to fall in love with Julie, but what actually happens is Ben falls in love with Meredith and Everette falls in love with Julie. On Christmas morning Everette was going to propose to Meredith. He asks Julie to put the ring that he was to give Meredith on and see if it will look right. The ring then gets stuck on her finger and they can’t get it off. Ben and Meredith are also having some mishaps of their own. The night before Ben and Meredith went out drinking and the following morning Meredith wakes up in Ben’s bed naked and she assumes the worst. The truth comes out down stairs about all the events between these four people. There is a big blow up between Ben and Everette, while Meredith is in the kitchen crying trying to figure out what went wrong. To find out the end of this story rent it most anywhere. I give this movie three stars.
RV by Jill Ellis RV is about the Munro family. The family had been drifting apart for years so they were going to take a vacation and try to and reconnect. The original plan was to go to Hawaii, The father Bob, played by Robin Williams, boss makes him cancel his trip to Hawaii so that Bob could go to a business meeting in  Colorado. So he gets the idea that he will rent an RV and takes the family to where he has to be for the meeting. He doesn’t his family that the reason for the change in plans was due to his work. On their first night out in the RV, they meet the Gornicke family. At first glance you would think that they are the definition of red neck, but come to find out they are some of the smartest people that the Munro's have ever met. The Munro family runs into so much trouble on the trip, like running into ravenous raccoons, not knowing how to dump the septic in the RV, and even driving the RV into the lake, it seems like the family vacation will never be the bonding experience that Bob had hoped for. Just when the family is starting to get along they find out that the Bob planned this trip because of work not for his family. I give this movie four stars, and suggest you see it in the theater.
Chicken Little By Jill Ellis You all know the fairy tale of Chicken Little. The littlest chicken who while sitting by the old oak tree is hit on the head by an acorn and thinks the sky is falling. Well now the crazy chicken is not so crazy after all.Chicken Little really does get hit on the head with a stop sign shaped piece of the sky. When Chicken Little brings every one in the town over to the old oak tree to look the pieceof sky, it is notthere. Because the town does not believe him, Chicken Little’s dad is embarrassed by his “mistake”. A year later people still haven’t forgot about Chicken Little’s ”little mistake” as his dad calls it. In Chicken Little’s mind, he has been an embarrassment to his dad every since the incident. One day after winning the biggest game of the year in baseball, and finally having his dad being proud of him, once again Chicken Little gets hit on the head with a piece of the sky.This time it happened in his room. He calls his best friends, Abby Mallard the ugly duckling, Runt of the litter, and Fish out of water to help him out. They figure out that the piece of sky is actually a panel from the bottom of a spacecraft The panel can camouflage itself into any thing that is underneath it. The aliens who flies the spacecraft that has a missing panel keeps returning to earth for acorns that grow in Oaky Oak's. On one trip accidentally leave their kid, Kirby behind. When the aliens come back to get Kirby the towns people misunderstand why the aliens are there, and think that they are under attack. I give this movie five stars because it’s a movie that all ages will enjoy It’s truly a family film.
