Finland’s new group has launched a full force musical attack on the United States.  The Rasmus’ first full length CD Dead Letters is now available in the U.S.
    The Rasmus creates a unique sound distant from any other music out there now, except maybe Linkin Park.  This one of a kind music is created by Lauri Ylonen(vocals),  Pauli Rantasalami (guitars), Eero Iteindene (bass), and Aki Hakala (drums).
    The first single “In The Shadows” hit the charts and soared to the top in early 2004, shortly after Dead Letters was released.
    A dead letter is a letter that had never been delivered because the person who it was written to cannot be found, and it also cannot be returned to the person who wrote it.  Front man Louri Ylonen explains, “This is basically what the album is, these are letters to people in my life that have not been sent.”
    The lyrics in Dead Letters are very deep and bring emotions to the listener through the music without them even thinking about what the song means.
    Not Like Other Girls is a song about a lost love, “When you’ve loved and you’ve lost/ you know what it feels like to lose”, whether it was from a death or just being dumped it could bring back emotions of heartbreak to even the most insensitive person.
