Evolution But Not Creation
by Kati Dickson
Why is it that students are forced to learn about evolution, but not even given the option of learning about creation, or anything else.
Evolution isn't even a proven theory. Darwin, himself said it was not true before he died.
Students should be given a choice.  If they want to know about evolution, let them learn, but if they don't they shouldn't have to learn it.  If evolution is going to be taught, then you should either teach ALL of the theories or none at all.
Teachers and staff say that they are not trying to make you believe one thing or another, but if that is all you teach the kids, that's all they will know; unless they seek out another source.

Evolution But Not Creation
Another Voice on the Subject

I agree fully with this statement {referring to the previous article} but would also like to add my own personal touch!
I feel that evolution is a  sort of religion. I do understand that is a part of science in some views and creation in others.  In order to not be bias I have to understand other views but creation is a proven theory and some think evolution is.  Then there is always the question of how much evidence do you need to have proof.  and if it is accepted by society it doesn't always mean that some individuals will accept a "so called" proven "theory."
I believe that we should learn about different evolution and creation theories, when only one is taught it can appear to be swaying people's own decisions.  Just like when it come to learning about different religions and cultures.  You learn about EACH one and none are singled out.

A Different View

I don't usually argue or speak up about things but this is an exception.  I'm not a very religious person.  I know a lot of people that are and some of them are my friends but this is what I think on the matter of creation being taught in schools.
It's Stupid!  I feel that if you want to learn about creation you should go to a private religious school.  There is a division between church and state for a reason.  Evolution may not be proven but then again how is creation,  because the Bible tells me so?
I always hear that evolution was made up by a man and then slapped down in print.  But, no offense to the religious people out there, so was the Bible.  It was made by a man and written down by a man, just like the Koran and The Odyssey by Homer.
If you want to learn about creation instead of evolution that's fine.  That is what they made private schools for, but for me I'm just happy with learning about evolution.
