Its War on
Terror, NOT Iraq
by Kati DicksonAfter 9-11 America went to war against terror, NOT Iraq. We went to Iraq bacause they were being ruled by the Alqueda. We are still there to establish a democratic goverment, which by the way, is exactly what the majority of the Iraqi people want. Recent polls in Iraq have shown that 74% of Iraqi citizens want democracy and are glad that America is over there helping them. To all of you who think that we are not wanted in Iraq I can see how you could be lead to think this. The media has a tendancy to only report the bad things that happen, they tell us how many Americans have died, how many innocent cavilians have been killed, how much money it costs... What you don't see on TV is all the people that have been helped and freed by the American Soldiers. You don't see the Iraqi people thanking the Americans, you don't see a before-and-after report on the life of the Iraqis before we ran out the Alqueda and Talibon and after. Many Americans would say that the only thing that war has accomplished is the killing of American soldiers as well as the deaths of innocent Iraqis. But have you ever stopped to think about what would happen if we didn't go to war? That would have told the Alqueda and Talibon as well as other coutries that you can mess with America and we don't care, we won't do anything about it, and anybody can get away with anything without the threat of us attacking them. There would have been 9-11 after 9-11. We'd like to hear your oppions and views on topics you feel are important. Feel free to send one to us.
