Darkness falls,
The lights go out.
What once shown all,
now lays in doubt.

Will it return,
no one knows.
Everyone’s concern,
does not show.

It causes worry,
for the little ones.
Then mom reads a story,
and the worries are done.

Early the next mourn,
the light shows through.
The darkness has torn,
and no longer is it blue.

The sun comes up,
everything as is.
Life starts up,
and everything begins.
