"Home of the Braves"

               Untitled

Whispered words
Soft restraint
You say the word
I feel the pain.

Your intentions are clear
My body broken and bruised.
Our love one known by all
Lies shattered on the floor.

My blood mixed with your sweat,
Pain and screams mingle briefly with your hatred and lies.
I swell as I fall
Black and blue look good on me according to you.

No reason to live
No energy to die,
I lie on the floor
I can only wonder why.

Do you love my pain?
Do your endorphins sing?
Are you bigger and stronger now?
Am I really that wrong?

I blame myself
You use me too.
I have no feelings, no heart, nor soul.
All have been spilt to the floor.

You come so close
Hold me tight
No comfort, no air.
I scream without words.

I crave the life you wrestle from me.
I try to be free from you
Pitiful dream, for the pitiful fight.
You throw me away,  all that's heard is your simple words, "I love         you."
