On December 17th, the last day before winter break, Reedsport High
School held its annual Winter Assembly. This year as well as
years past, Mr. Tymchuck did his variation of “'Twas The Night Before
Christmas”.To bring the audience to life, Mr. Wiggan’s band played a few Christmas and other songs. Each student body group did a skit. The sophomores did a mock presentation of Santa’s Workshop, the juniors did a play of a Christmas Sale, and the seniors did a mock version of Jeopardy in which students played Mr. Tymchuck, Mrs. Boe, and Mr. Wiggans. Also, Jason Epley and Nick Blundon made their own version of Charles Dickens' “A Christmas Carol”, but instead of Mr. Scrooge it was Mr. Tymchuck. To end the assembly, Mr. Tymchuck read his annual poem. Since coming to this school, whether hearing about the Winter Assembly from the time you are in J/H or coming into the high school in the middle, it is all the hype right before winter break. |
