Victory for the Braves
by Sara Holloway

Before their game on Friday, the boys varsity team was 1-1 in the Big Fir League.  After beating the Yoncalla Eagles, 55-41 at home, their record now stands at 2-1.
    Only fiv
e Reedsport players scored in the game but each of them lit up the scoreboard.  Jeff Kennedy had 16 points to lead the team.  Tyler Hague scored 15 points, consisting of a few long 3 point shots, and Daniel Mast put up 14 points with 12 rebounds as well.  Next came Ryan Hitchcock and Casey Palermo; each scoring 5 points.
Although both the Braves and the Yoncalla Eagles were tied with 18 po
ints at half-time, the Eagles were outscored with the Braves putting up 21 points in the third quarter and Yoncalla only 4.
Throughout the game, when Reedsport was behind, the boys would come back to take the lead.  Although they turned the ball over a few times,
but made up for it by playing defensively.
