Prom 2004 The
Junior Class worked long and hard on this year's prom. The theme
was "Under the Sea." Decorating began Friday afternoon and lasted
well into the night. The team was headed by an
ambitious group of junior girls and guys, with some help from freshman
and sophomores. Walls were blue and white, covered with fishnets
and a mural. Gossamer hung from the ceiling and real goldfish sat
at the tables. The dance started at nine o'clock. Students danced the night away to the latest songs and enjoyed the old fashioned sodas, like Green Rivers and Roy Rogers. They
lined up for pictures, taken by Rochon Photography, against a deep sea
backdrop carefully assembled by a group of volunteers. A highlight of
the night was the Mr. RHS contestants doing a prepared dance to Loveshack.![]() At eleven o'clock, the 2004 Prom Court was announced. Princesses were Rachel Johnson, Emily Vaughn, Alicia Larson, Krista Wooley, and Jessica Terra. Princes were Tom Dailey, Nick Riley, Scott Tisler, Will Johnsen, and Chris Wheeler. Crowned king and queen were Jeremy "Spud" Camphouse and Faith Kreskey. Photos by Heather Leach, Kati Dickson, and Alison Law Constitution Amendment by Kati Dickson The 2003-04 ASB saw a need to amend the constitution. This required that all ASB and student council vote and have a 2/3 majority vote in favor of amending the constitution. The principal must also approve of the amendment. The ASB and student council voted in favor of striking the position of Assistant Treasurer and replacing it with Publicist. Also the elections for ASB will be held the second week of April instead of at the end of May. "We wanted the same amount of bodies but we didn't need the Assistant Treasurer position, so we added more useful position," says Vice President Krista Wooley. Also, changes were made to the prom/homecoming court guidelines. They went as follows: If you don't want to be on court, you have to give a written request to the ASB. And no student involvement in voting other than making the ballot. |
