Winter Dance

  On December 7th, while dancing the night away surrounded by paper snowflakes, a decorated tree, free snow cones, hot cocoa and water the high school kicked off the season with a winter dance.
    Admission was set at $3 for singles and $5 for couples. Mrs. Tisler said, “ It was a good turn out especially with the SAT’s the next morning.”  Not only did the attendee’s have an  opportunity to dance but the games (twister and limbo) were provided. From those games cam many winners each receiving a cookie prize. There was one more competition for the night, a dance off.
    Students formed a circle and kids jumped in to show off their moves. Spencer Mitchell won with the famous “worm.”
    From the proceeds of the night $100, which went to project graduation. The remainder of the money went to buy a leadership banner and to help pay for the homecoming court flowers.
    The next high school dance will be the Sadie Hawkins in January after a basketball game. Hope to see you there.   
Winter Assembly

 Classes and clubs are preparing for the annual winter assembly.  This is the assembly which almost every student and  staff members anticipate with excitement.
  For ten years skits, movies , and bands are performed before the student body.
The one with the funny class skits, the odd movies and the bands that play the holiday music.  That's the one the only winter assembly.   The assembly that gets you all ready for christmas vacation. This years is no different, but plenty of fun is involved.  
  The opening act is two bands the cobras: Skyler Squilio, Cole Browning Scott  Gardener and Jason Sallas. Also playing is the PBA and Hot flashes also Known as Mr. fulps and Mr. Wiggans band.
  Then after that is the famous class skits and hopefully one from every class.  Then their is the video that was made by Nick Blundon and Jason Eply from last year that will again be shown.  Then last but not least there is  Mr. Tymchucks t’was the night before christmas.
  This assembly should be loaded with tons of fun and excitement for the two week christmas vacation to come.
Now as most know the winter assembly is scheduled for first period but leaks into second and maybe even third but it will be held December 16.  Show up to see how this year competes with the last few years.
