Fall
by Ariel Castle
Our lazy days are over.
Summer has slipped away.
Say good-bye to summer for
Fall is in the air.
A new school year is here.
New teachers, new clothes, and lots of new homework to do.
We hear the bells in the hallway, to our classes we must go.
The lockers slam, laughter echoes on and on.
Six more periods left to go to end the school day.
We make it through the week, the football game arrives.
Listen to the cheers of the crowd; touch down, Go Braves Go!
School spirit, school pride, school colors red and black
We know fall is here with the shortening of the days
The leaves change colors, bright red and gold.
Halloween is on its way, tricker treaters go door to door.
Lots of ghost and goblins, witches galore
The Jack-o-lanterns light up the fall night.
It will be a frightful sight.
Salmon are running through the streams,
Anglers cast their lines hoping to get the biggest prize.
Hunting season is here
They are after the bucks, elk and deer.
Thanksgiving is on its way,
Remember the Pilgrims and Indians on this festive day.
Time to give thanks for the blessings in our life.
The weather outside gets colder.
We say goodbye to fall,
Knowing soon, winter’s time on earth begins.
So bundle up tight, put on a hat
Enjoy the last of fall best you can.
For the fall season is full of great and wonderful times.
A season of unforgettable memories
Scented with cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin spice.
Fall is a time of delight. |
