Christmas in July
Public Announcement Christmas in July joins in the spirit of the national organization Rebuilding Together. Our mission is to preserve and revitalize houses and our community, assuring that low-income homeowners, from the elderly and disabled to families with children, live in warmth, safty, and independence. In partmership with communities, our goal is to make a sustainable impact. We make this impact through providing necessary repairs free of charge to existing homeowners. These necessary repairs often include home modifications, roofing, plumbing adn eletrical repairs and/or improvements- our goal is to provise a warm, safe and dry enviroment for low income homeowners, enabling them to live independently and with dignity. Community partners include: United Presbyterian Chruch- Buliding supplies and volunteers St James Presbyterian Chruch- Buliding supplies and volunteers Lower Umpqua Hospital- maintenace crew will assess needed repairs on slected houses Winchester Minni storage-Donated space for materials Reedsport Garden Club-Volunteers will landscape and garden Friends of Winchsetter Bay, A Thousand Cranes Peace Group, Highland Elementary Kindness Crew, Reedsport Lions, Beautiful Savior Lutheran and Highland Baptist Church, will all supply volunteer workers all sharing hours evenly.
