 Animals Helping Humans

By Amanda Palmer

How would you like it if someone in your family had a disease, and there wasn't a cure for it. The reason being some people feel sorry for an animal? I strongly favor using animals to help inherence medical research because the things that they test on animals could harm people if they didn't. Animal testing could advance science, by finding cures for things like aids, and also animals reproduce and replenish faster than humans do.
First, animal testing benefits people by scientists use animals to test the product on an organ to see how it will effect the whole body. Another way it helps people is scientists test products on animals, then they do mores tests on the product if it passes.
Animal testing could also help advance science, by finding cures for things like aids. According to Dr. Rudolf Cardinal without animal testing society would not be able to provide our current standard of health care and drug safety or develop new treatments for many diseases. then if you look at the Holocaust 6.6 million people died form doing tests on other people.
Animals reproduce and replenish faster than humans. Mice average eight to twelve babies in each litter. Also mice and rats account for about 90% of the animals used for animal testing. As you can see animal testing is better than testing humans.
I understand that some people believe that there shouldn't be animal testing because it is cruel and inhumane, but what if a pill comes out and 100 people take it and it is harmful to them,  and all of the people that take it die from taking the pill.
If it would have been tested on just one animal, then only that one animal would die instead of 100 people. What is more important 100 people or one animal?
After listening to these reasons it is obvious that animal testing should continue because it could help advance science, and animal reproduce and replenish faster than humans do. In the 1900s, 300 people died yearly form Polio. Now, since cures have been made and tested on animals only three to five people die yearly for the disease Polio.

One World Government?

 By Vivian Barksdale

Should there Be a "One World Government?" Stop and think
about this. Try to imagine a council, if you will consisting of lets say someone like Ghandi and another like Hitler. Do you think that they would be able to reach the same decisions that would be in the best interest for the entire world.  History has repeatedly shown us that when another person or one government tries to rule more people the results are always disastrous.
Hitler, a name we'd all love to forget, but is remembered for one very important reason. That we never let anyone persuade us into thinking that in order for us to survive that we need to wipe out another race. Hitler wanted to rule the world and in order for him to achieve this he wanted everyone to think the same way he did. Including the way he felt about the Jews. Hitler was truly a heinous despot. One of many examples history has shown us that a “One World Government is a bad concept.
Between 1945 and 1949 countries like Romania, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Czechslovakia fell under Soviet domination. By 1950 a Cold War was between the United States, along with many other nations of the free world, against the Soviet Union. So the United States tried to keep the Soviet Union from expanding it's power beyond the nations of Eastern Europe. The biggest fear was the possibility of a nuclear war that would destroy life on earth. Another concern of the United States was that the Soviet Union pressure other countries to fall under a communistic reign; which would end, in a one world classless society. The Soviet Union fell in the 1990’s, another example in history why a “One World  Government” is a bad theory.
Napoleon Bonaparte came to power through militant success. By gaining control of the Austrian, Prussian, and Italian Empires, he was then able to appoint himself Emperor. Soon after becoming Emperor he attempted to over take the African and Asian continents. Other countries began to rise against him because they didn't want to be oppressed by a French regime. Britain, along with other nations, defeated Napoleon and his reign in the battle of the waterloo in 1815.
People today are still fighting for a “One World Government.” Some people believe that peace will come about by the use of military force, they also think it would provide stability among the nations to prevent war.
It is seen through the examples of Hitler and Napoleon's attempts to create a “One World Government”, that it has failed. We should learn from the past and not make the same mistakes again. There are too many variables for this idea to work, for example: ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds are too different for everyone to agree upon the same principals. Many believe that a “One World Government” will transpire because it is prophesied in the Bible.
